RIVIERA LAKES CAR CLUB

The 2020 Charity BBQ and Show and Shine was held at Rick and Carol Forbes residence in Newlands Arm.

This year the Club  invited the Jaguar Car Club of Victoria- East Gippsland Register and 9 of their members attended making a total of 60 entrants for the day plus a number of visitors from around the area. The Club BBQ trailer provided coffee, tea and cooking facilities and the Club provided cakes, biscuits and dips throughout the morning and afternoon. Bob Moore brought his drone along and captured some spectacular aerial photos of the event. In accordance with  past practice the Entry Fee and Raffle proceeds were donated to a charity chosen by the Hosts. Our hosts Rick and Carol nominated the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund to receive the funds which will be added to the Clubs other donations to this worthwhile cause. The Club also presented prizes for the best presented vehicles for both Clubs- The RLCC prize went to Louis and Linda Waser's 1955 Ford Thunderbird and Lloyd and Marg Reynolds XK 140 FHC won the Jaguar Prize. The Raffle was won by Don Wright and Allan Ross took out the 2nd Prize.
